Q:  Why the license?

A:  It is required by the Alaska Division of Fish and Games (ADFG). Alaskans livelihood depends on the ocean and river resources. The state government protects the ocean to make sure that their livelihood continues to exists.

 

Q:  How strict is ADFG? What if an inspector will find out that I do not have a license while fishing?

A:  Very strict!  If get caught you will get a penalty ticket ($$$)... and guilt.
